I now live in Jarrell, Texas with my husband and three children. We have five Australian Shepherds. Many years ago I rescued my first Australian Shepherd from a rescue group. It was this Aussie that made me fall in love with the breed.
Aussies are highly intelligent, loyal, are great around children and have strong herding and guarding instincts. They are great family companions. Aussies are people dogs that thrive on human companionship. Basic obedience and socialization is essential for owning an Aussie. If you just want a dog to put in the backyard and don't have the time to work with them, then an Aussie might not be for you. Aussies are highly regarded for their skills in the competitive sports of obedience, agility and flyball. They love to play games retrieving balls, Frisbees, swimming etc.
A healthy Aussies coat sheds dirt and does not require a great deal of maintenance. However, weekly brushing, toenail trimming and teeth cleaning should be a part of a grooming routine.
My goal is to be a hobby breeder and not just breed for ribbons and shows but to breed for quality, health and temperament.
All puppies sold from Flamin T Australian Shepherds have been vaccinated, dewormed and come with a written health guaranteed against hip dysplasia and hereditary or congenital eye defects. All puppies comes with a spay/neutered contract, eligible to be registered with AKC and ASCA and come with puppy packets.
